Todor Kunchev, MD, is the lead neurologist at Nuance Psychology and an accomplished neurologist based in Sofia, Bulgaria, with over 10 years of experience specializing in multiple sclerosis, neurodegenerative disorders (including dementia and Parkinson's disease), manual therapy for neck and back pain of vertebrogenic origin, headache management, and the treatment of mild functional neurological disorders such as anxiety, depression, and insomnia.
Dr. Kunchev earned his medical degree from the Medical University of Sofia in 2013. He gained extensive clinical experience working as a neurologist at the Neurology Clinic of Alexandrovska University Hospital (2014–2020). In 2018, he successfully defended his PhD thesis titled "Cognitive and Behavioral Disorders in Patients with Multiple Sclerosis," subsequently obtaining his specialization in neurology in 2019.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Kunchev has actively contributed to medical education as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Neurology, Medical University of Sofia (2019–2020), and later at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" (2020–2021). He joined the expert team at UMHAL Sofiamed Neurology Clinic (2020–2021) and, since 2020, has been practicing manual medicine at Happy Spine Neurological Office. In 2022, Dr. Kunchev expanded his practice to include the Medical Center Oxylife team, and in 2025, he joined Nuance Psychology, further diversifying his expertise and collaborative engagements.
Dr. Kunchev has received notable recognition for his professional contributions, including being featured among the most beloved specialists on the Superdoc platform in 2021 and serving as a lecturer on brain health for Multisport’s Health Day initiative since 2025. His scholarly work includes multiple publications in respected Bulgarian and international scientific journals, alongside active participation in medical congresses both domestically and internationally.
